Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery

Cleft Lip and Palate

Cleft lip and palate is among the most common congenital facial problem. It’s incidence is higher in Pakistan as compared to the rest of the world i.e 1 in 523 child birth.

It requires a multidisciplinary team effort and multiple surgeries until the child is grown up. We collaborate with our craniofacial team from USA for the complex cases, where detailed discussions are done for the best outcome for the patient.

Craniofaical Surgery

Craniofacial surgery is related to all kinds of birth defects related to face and skull. This includes but not limited to cleft lip and palate, abnormal skull shape (craniosynostosis) , small jaw(micrognathia) , abnormal or absence of ear (microtia).

In Craniosynostosis (abnormal skull shape) one or more skull sutures are fused that prevents the skull from growing into a uniform head shape. Most importantly there are chances of abnormal brain development due to pressure exerted by the abnormally fused sutures.

This kind of surgery requires highly specialized skills and we are proud to provide such kinds of surgeries in Pakistan as the only USA trained craniofacial surgeon.

If your child is suffering from any of the craniofacial condition, we are happy to help you.
